We’re the Hallelujah Cowboys from Southern Johnson County, Kansas.

Founding members Bob Butler (guitar/vocals) and Randy Gaylord (bass/vocals) formed the Hallelujah Cowboys in 1992, continuing the ministry-through-music they began over two decades ago with the band Selah.

The Cowboys’ debut album, Uncivil War, features the band’s original members: singer/songwriter Joe Dekat, Doug Rippee (guitar/mandolin), and Ken Dolan (drums/vocals). Recorded between 1998 and 2000 in Kansas City’s Airborne Audio Studios, the album features twelve original recordings written by Dekat, Rippee, and fellow Christian recording artist Jerry Dowell.

Their sophomore effort, Set Free, released in 2005, features Butler, Gaylord, and Dekat, along with Kyle Tomes (drums) and Mike Fowler (harmonica). Set Free includes nine original songs by Dekat and Dowell along with three familiar gospel tunes.

Current members Anthony Dominguez (drums/keyboards/vocals) and Doug Bennett (guitar/vocals) joined the band in 2005 and 2006, respectively.

In 2009, drummer Kyle Tomes went home to be with his Lord and Savior. After an extended hiatus and much prayer, the band regrouped and now features Anthony Dominguez on drums.

The music of the Hallelujah Cowboys reflects the hope realized by each member through their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and they invite you to join them in worship. You can receive concert schedule updates by subscribing via email, becoming a fan on facebook, or following them on twitter.

The Cowboys dedicate their 2010 lineup to the memory of their brother, Kyle Tomes.
